I prefer the M1 Pro because it remains cool. My fans never turn on, and the laptop is always cold to the touch.

The 12th gen Intel processors are very competitive and show that Intel is finally getting its game back up after a long period of stagnation. They have much better thermals than the 11th gen (much less the 10th gen) and perform better with higher efficiency. Apple's processors are still unmatched with how cool and efficient they run, but Intel is definitely catching up (and this is undoubtedly a good thing as competition breeds innovation).

I prefer the M1 Pro because it stays nice and cool. My fans never turn on and the laptop is always cold to the touch. I was looking at laptops at a box store and all of them were hot/warm, every single one of them except for the Apple laptops.
