The problem lies in the GPU. The 7+ Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8s Gen3 have exactly the same GPU (nanometers, cores, architecture) but 8s GPU is overclocked to the MOON!! Twice the clock! They pushed too hard the poor GPU, that is why the low battery life and thermal throttle. They need to nerf the GPU back to 7+ level.

Yep, that is why i get only 8-9 hours of SoT on my Realme GT 6.

7+ Gen2 is a heavily downclocked 8+ Gen 1, they downclocked the CPU and GPU in order to keep the performance lower than their previous flagship. If you compare the 8+G1 to the 8sG3 and keep it mind the 8sG3 is on a newer process then it makes sense. 7+G2 -> TSMC N4 -> 580 MHz. 8+G1 -> TSMC N4 -> 900 MHz. 8sG3 -> TSMC N4P -> 1100 MHz.

Guys, what is the stability of Snapdragon 8s Gen3? It seems it's a great processor, but I have fear from that processor because it looks like Snapdragon Gen 2 and it's draining the battery very fast. I want my phone to live for a long time. Also, if I have money, should I buy Poco F5 or Poco F6? Thanks for reading!

currently it's pretty unoptimised, i saw a reviewer tried genshin impact on it and while the fps stays at 60fps the gameplay experience doesnt feel smooth at all and feel's like it's janky 35 fps with poorly executed frame interpolation. the reviewer tried side by side with realme gt6 (8s g3 too) and realme doesnt have this problem. seems like xiaomi still need some time to optimise this chipset

The 7+ Gen 2 is the way to go in terms of raw power, reaching the heating point. Though scores and numbers are always a part of life, I would prefer Plus over S any day.

The SD8s Gen 3 isn't as stable as the SD7+ Gen 2, because it's an overclocked version of the SD8 Gen 2, leading to more heat.
